Are you living alone? or Does your father/mother, grandfather/grandmother, a good friend or one of your relatives live alone and you want to know, if everything is okay?If yes, Moe may be the perfect solution for you or your dearest ones:Moe is a mobile App for (elderly) people, who live alone. It calls for help, if the user is in emergency situations. The system consists of two modules/devices: Phone and Wear (optional but recommended).
In the Smartphone-App the user defines emergency contacts, who receive an Alarm-SMS in emergency situations.
There are three different emergency situations or so called alarm types:- Immediate help: If the user e.g. falls to the ground and can’t stand up on his/her own or is injured, he/she has the possibility to send an Alarm-SMS by pressing the “Help me”-Button on one of the devices.- Inactivity: If the user hasn’t pressed the “I’m OK”-Button on one of devices within the last 24 hours, an Alarm-SMS is automatically sent. Of course the user gets a reminder 2 hours and 5 minutes before notifying the emergency contacts.- Heartrate alarm: The Android Wear measures the current heartrate every 15 minutes. If the heart rate drops below the specified threshold, a Notification appears. If the user doesn't react to it, an Alarm-SMS is sent.
